As a company and as believers of the True and Elegant Movement, we strongly believe in reaching out with our raw and elegant design language, but we also in equal part believe in making the world better at the same time.
That is why we are making it our goal to contribute to UN’s Sustainable development goals.
We have chosen four that we focus on at this stage:
Goal 5: We believe in gender equality. It is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. This philosophy is expressed in our best designs. From product development to customer support , we all work together with equality in mind. We also believe in all inclusiveness, and our team is a collaborative one with multiple nationalities and cultural diversity.
Goal 8: Sustainable economic growth will require societies to create the conditions that allow people to have quality jobs. Unlike large parts of the industry, we do not stand for production in low wage countries and inhumane working conditions. Therefore we only choose to collaborate with companies who offer fair wages and high quality working conditions.
Goal 12: We aim for responsible production and consumption. That’s why we insist on designing and forging our jewellery locally in Sweden. Most of our silver is recycled, and we hope to use all recycled metals by the end of 2021. Our metal pieces are carefully handcrafted in Stockholm and Kalmar. All our shipping material, boxes, and pouches are FSC certified.
Goal 13: We believe in climate action. Acknowledging the climate crisis isn’t enough. That’s why we avoid shipping with airfare. When we do use airfare for overseas shipping, we compensate for the CO2 emissions. We aim as much as possible to challenge the industry, and that your purchase with us should be as sustainable as possible.
This is also part of our whole true and elegant movement – that you will feel empowered to work for a better world, for you, for us and for the world.
